Required Traxxas parts to complete the conversion:

TRA3722A Rustler Lower Chassis
TRA3723A Rustler Upper Chassis
TRA3727A Battery Hold Down Plate
(plus miscellaneous hardware to bolt together the above item)

Step1: Remove the front end of your Slash, and remove the bumper

Step 2: Remove the front skid plate and take out the servo post screws and all washers
Step3: Take the Rustler Upper Chassis (TRA3723A) and remove the front body mount

Step 4: Slide the steering bellcrank assembly onto the underside of the Upper chassis, followed by the washers and the servo post screws removed earlier.  Note: Adjust amount of washer as necessary for free steering bellcrank movement

Step 5:  Locate the CNC Machined front bumper mount and the M4x12 screws.  Install it onto the top of the upper chassis at a slight angle

Step 6: Install the front bumper back onto the chassis.  Now, center the servo and then install it onto the underside of the upper chassis

Step 7: Bolt the chassis together and install the battery strap.  Locate the CNC Machined rear battery plate and install it with the included M3x8 Flat head screw

Step 8: Remove the Rear assembly and the rear skid plate from your Slash

Step 9: Line up and install the rear chassis stiffener plate and the four M4x12 Flat head screws and M4 lock nuts.  For the best fit, it is best to use an Xacto Knife and remove the two stubs on the Rustler chassis.  Next, locate and install the bottom skid plate.  Note the direction.

Step 10: install the upper extension plate using the original button head screw.  Secure the upper extension plate in place using the included M3 locknuts

Step 11: Slide the bottom chassis extension plate into the motor guard slots and finally screw the rear assembly on to the bottom skid plate using original transmission screws

Step 12: Line up the included CNC machine stand offs and washers on the rustler chassis, under neath the top extension plate.  Use the longer included Flat Head screws for the front set of aluminum stand offs and the shorter remaining flat head screw for the rear set of washers, and screw into the Rustler chassis and you’re DONE!
