Cleaning Tires

Often time we see guys and the off-road track wash their tires by simply dunking them into the water first and then start scrubbing the dirt off.  Unfortunately by dunking the tire into the water, the foam insert inside will soak in all the water (as foams naturally do) and thus having a lop-sided insert inside because of the water.  And often times the water have no way of escaping out of the insert once it is soaked in, leaving the set of tire completely out of balance.  Next time, a better way to clean your tire can simply hold the tire in your hand, and dip the cleaning brush into the water and scrub the dry tire with the brush.

The water that the brush pick up is enough to soften and clean off the dirt off the tire, but it is not enough water for it to enter into the insert.  A couple of brisk brush on each section of the tire will be enough to clean off the dirt.  Work around the entire tire and you’ll have a clean set of tire without water getting into the insert.
